You Are Bold! / Megan Ortega

When was the last time you were bold enough to have fresh, green hope in the face of your impossible circumstances? I know I’m so sensitive sometimes. Rather than take the risk of hoping, I try to have low expectations...that way there is no pain when nothing spectacular happens. But God has been speaking to me about being audacious in my hope. This “green hope” speaks to me about being fresh and new and almost naive- like I was before I was hardened and learned how to modulate my expectations and dreams. True there is the possibility that I will be hurt. But I’m missing out on partnering with God-believing Him before it’s apparent. I’m missing out on believing that He can do the impossible.

What if God is waiting to be asked before He decides to move? When you look all through the Gospels, Jesus rarely, if ever just did a miracle. He waited to be asked nearly every time. It’s like He wants to see what our expectations are- and then rise above them.

I personally think it gives the Father-heart of God a thrill every time we see things from His perspective and then get excited and ask Him to do what only He can! He wants us to see from His perspectives because we are His sons and daughters after all. Made in his image.

I’m currently meditating on this lovely psalm:

“Listen to this prayer of mine, GOD; pay attention to what I’m asking. Answer me—you’re famous for your answers! Psalm 143:1-2 MSG

He loves our requests so much that He answers in new, strange and exciting ways. He’s actually really creative in the way He works all things for our good.

So join me, won’t you? In being bold, green, daring even in expecting, hoping, and praying for God to

break into the impossible places in your life and do what only He can do.
